Recoverable Items > Purges folder to Journaling mail box

Hi,

Is there any option to move the Recoverable Items > Purges folder to Journal mail box. As it's not getting moved to Journal mail box like the other mail items. The content of this folder is the Lync chat archives.

Is there an option to move only particular folder to Journal mail box?

Is there any option to move conversation history content automatically to Journal mailbox or any other mail box?

Why does it matter?  It shouldn't count against the mailbox quota nor should it be synchronized to the client OST.

Hi Ed,

Lync Archives to Purge folder where the mail boxes are not kept on in-place hold / litigation hold. User resigns from the company mailbox disables and unable to retrieve the Lync Archive content which is getting stored in the purge folder under recoverable item via e-discovery as these items gets deleted while the mail box is moved to disabled.

These items is not available in Journal mailbox also as IM archives are not considered as mail content and not moving to journal mail box.

Requirement is Lync IM archived content of users need to be available  for e-discovery even after disabling the user mail box.

Note: SQL Archiving is not going to use for Lync IM archive and moving the users mail box into Pst is not considering as viable option.

If that particular mail box is going to keep under inplace hold - concerns is we may not able to disable that mailbox and space consumption by that entire mail box.
